What "online booking" actually needs
Three things: a page clients can reach (a link), your services with their times and prices, and a calendar that knows when you are open. That is it. Everything else — reminders, staff calendars, deposits — is a bonus on top.
Step 1: List your services properly
Each service needs a name, a price and a real duration. A gel set and a quick file are different lengths; if the system books the right time for each, your day never gets squeezed.
Step 2: Set your real hours
Clients should only be able to book inside the hours you actually work. Get this right once and you stop the "but you were closed" mix-ups for good.
Step 3: Get one shareable link
Put it in your Instagram bio, your Google profile, and as a QR code on the mirror or the door. One link is where every booking comes from.
What to avoid
Commission-based marketplaces. Some booking apps take a cut of every appointment and put your clients in their directory next to your competitors. You built that client relationship — keep it, and keep the full price.
Anything that takes a week to set up. You run a salon, not an IT department. If it is not live the same afternoon, it is too complicated.
